Art & Drama
Art and drama are valued highly at our school. Each year we enter the Walker Morris Calendar competition judged by Ashley Jackson. Many of our children’s art work has been successfully published. We have specialist art teachers in school to enhance the children’s work. We hold an annual Art Gallery where we exhibit a piece of work from every child in school. Children’s work has also been displayed throughout the community.
Children are given many opportunities throughout the year to take part in dramatic events.
Throughout the year we involve all the children in dramatic productions. Every child in school has the chance to go on the stage. We do Christmas plays, singing concerts, themed productions and verse speaking competitions to name but a few.
Children have the chance to take individual music lessons in woodwind, strings, brass and percussion. Our participation in the Wider Opportunities Programme enables specialist teaching in singing and violin.
